First, Conk Wear has officially moved back to my home state to Denver, CO.  Second, my new designs may or may not be influenced by this move.  I photographed both the Cowboy and the Bandit here in Colorado to make the graphics for the shirts and hoodies.  The body of the Cowboy is my business partner and friend Gabe, from Focus 4 Design, and I photographed the black angus bull on a local farm near Denver.  The lion is a pet of mine and I photographed him in my backyard and my buddy Matt, who modeled the suits several years ago, modeled again for me in the bandana.  Here are the shirts and hoodies.

I created three new designs for the holidays including a Native American buffalo, a rhino in a tux and a hierglyphic of a zebra dude with wings.  I really like them and hope all of you will too.  Be sure to place your order before Monday so you can get free shipping and receive your shirts in time for the holidays.

I did a photo shoot on Sunday in Griffith Park with my friends Mark, Jeanine, Cody and Jeya.  It was really cold and windy and we were all freezing so we got the shoot done in less than an hour.  It was one of the quickest shoot I have ever done and I’m stoked on the photos.  Thank you guys!

I was lucky enough to photograph this Unisorse in Hana, Maui a few years ago and it’s definitely the most amazing things I’ve ever seen.  I call it Unisorse because it looks like a unicorn seahorse. This one came out of the ocean and was floating in the perfect spot so I could snap this photo.  I could also hear it making beautiful sounds like a whale call which I am told come from it’s horn.  My buddy Patrick Lee, who is a musician, has also has seen and heard the Unisorse and interpreted the ballad for us so you could get an idea of how incredible it is to see one in person.

Over the last year and half, my friend Maggie has been volunteering for the Peace Corps in Madagascar and living in the village of Antsirabe Nord. She has been working on numerous development projects and educating locals in preventative health.

Recently her mother, Cheryl Flanagan, visited Maggie and documented her trip with photographs. Cheryl posted these images on PrettySporty.com and is selling them in efforts to raise funds for the latrine and well-building projects so Maggie can see its completion before she heads back home in December.

Prints of photos available in varying sizes of Malagasy wildlife, scenery, people and culture. All money after costs of prints go directly to the latrine and well-building projects organized by the women’s association, the health clinic council, and the parent’s organization. They’ve already raised funds or in-kind donations of labor and supplies to cover a 25 percent community contribution. Grassroot development projects count on the fund raising of small community groups because they’re not part of some larger International Aid organizations programming that is funded by foreign country’s governments. This is an opportunity to see donations go directly to a community with no salary, travel, or miscellaneous programming costs taken out. We really appreciate your help and the photos of the village you’re helping are beautiful, too.

This Saturday, the 15th, there is an amazing art show featuring photos from the kids I have been mentoring at Venice Arts. If you’re going to be in the area I highly suggest you check it out. I guarantee you will be blown away by their images and they would really appreciate your support. See you there!

It’s official, CONK WEAR now has shirts in all colors and sizes for your holiday shopping. The new shirts have been a hit so far and I believe it is because they have that super soft vintage feel and the color of the fabric really goes well on anybody. If you plan to order some CONK Tees in time for Xmas please try to order before December 15th so it will have time to ship to you. I wish everyone the best this holiday season!

My trip to New York City was a great success. I plastered images of Zebras, Lions and Giraffes all over the city to promote CONK Wear. The below photo is not photoshopped. This is how I roll.

I stopped by a few boutiques in the city and showed them CONK and they seemed stoked about it. However, they wanted to sell the shirts for too much with none of the profits going to charity. I decided it would be best to keep to the internet sales for now to keep true to my cause.While I was there I met up with Kenny. He was wearing his shirt so I took a few snapshots of him while we walked across the Brooklyn Bridge.

Out of nowhere came these three beautiful ladies and they just couldn’t keep their hands off of him.

Okay, they were already with us but don’t be surprised if this happens to you when you’re wearing CONK.

I also met up with my friend Lauren Bucquet, who is a real fashionista, and we talked about her designing some shirts for me to print on. I really need to take advantage of this opportunity before she becomes the next Donna Karen.

A couple days later I got a call from Mike telling me he couldn’t live in LA anymore. It was a bummer to hear but I don’t really blame him. LA is hard to adjust to, especially when you come from beautiful Boulder, CO. Before he left he drove up to Carmel to visit our friend Heather, who hopefully will be helping in designing some radical shirts for CONK.

And then up to Berkeley to visit his brother Rob.

That’s right, they sport CONK! The day after I got back Mike left for Colorado and it set in that he’s no longer going to be around.

I miss that crazy dude.

Well, things have been going great and it’s been amazing to send shirts to friends and family all over the country. Tomorrow I pick up the new shirts in all sizes and new colors. I am really stoked with the way they turned out. They are super soft and they fit really nice. I will have them in the store by the end of the week. Right now I only have limited inventory so if you want to get some for the holidays I recommend you order soon before they sell out. Hopefully I will have time to get another batch made before the holiday season is over.

Jessica Louise. She makes some great clothes for ladies, most of it by hand, and it’s super quality. I know because I’ve seen her make a couple of rad hoodies from a roll of pink fabric and it was amazing to watch. She’s been great and has given me some useful advice in starting CONK.
